Why do I need a Wedding Planner - what does a Wedding Planner do?

A wedding planner fulfills a number of roles depending on the specific needs of each couple. A wedding planner can help you plan your budget, secure different vendors, understand contracts, direct your wedding party on your big day, and so much more. Because a wedding planner has extensive contacts within the industry, he/she can also give you more bang for your buck by securing better deals on services, or by understanding how to stretch your budget to give you the best result possible. If you are interested in something less involved, a day-of wedding planner can also come in solely for your big day to coordinate everything for you - allowing you (and your family) the chance to enjoy the day without any obligations beyond “have fun.” Whatever you need, a wedding planner is there to take that burden off of your shoulders.

My venue has a catering manager or wedding coordinator already - do I still need a Wedding Planner?

A venue or catering manager is helpful - and oftentimes will be one of the contacts with which your wedding planner works - but a venue coordinator is ultimately a completely different role than a wedding planner. A venue coordinator handles aspects of your day within the venue only - they are not responsible for transportation, managing your hair and makeup team, helping you locate other vendors or adhering to a budget, etc. A wedding planner ensures that you have a professional who can coordinate all other aspects of your wedding, not just your venue: budget, vendor contracts, transportation, decor and design...all the way down to making sure that you stay on schedule until the last guest leaves your wedding reception. A wedding planner encompasses a larger area of responsibility towards your wedding, meaning that you can trust them to handle that much more of the work and stress on your behalf.

When in the event planning process should I hire a Wedding Planner?

This one depends on a couple's own preferences. Some prefer to hire a wedding planner as soon as they’re engaged in order to enjoy a stress-free experience at the start. Others prefer to find a venue or handle a few other big-ticket items before bringing in a wedding planner. The choice is totally up to the couple (but it’s never too late to hire a wedding planner, so never feel like you’ve missed your chance to contact us!)

Do you plan events outside of Central Florida? What about destination weddings?

Yes, we can plan weddings anywhere in the world! Please inquire with us directly, as we create customized packages for destination weddings. Pricing is based on location and time of year.
